About
Spain, France, Italy, and other countries in the EU constantly announce airport strikes.
I started to wonder: how many active or upcoming strikes are there in Europe right now?
I went down the rabbit hole and built FlightStrike.eu — a website that collects data from news and government websites about all airport labour strikes in Europe, and puts them on one interactive map.

AI Transparency
In compliance with the EU AI Act (Article 50), we disclose how artificial intelligence is used on this platform.
What AI is used for
- Monitoring news outlets, union press releases, and official transport notifications to identify potential strikes
- Synthesizing strike summaries, impact assessments, and event details from multiple sources
What AI is NOT used for
- Making predictions about whether strikes will happen
- Providing travel advice or recommendations — always check with your airline
Data sources
Our AI agents prioritize information from:
- Aviation authorities — ENAC (Italy), DGAC (France), and equivalent bodies
- Transport operators — airlines, airport authorities, and national services
- Trade unions — official communications from organisations like Ver.di, CGT, and others
While we prioritise accuracy, industrial situations can shift rapidly. If you spot an inaccuracy, please report it here.
